Why Are the Bottom Corners of a MacBook Screen Square?
On MacBooks with a notch, the top corners of the display are rounded in hardware, while the bottom corners are square. macOS has no setting to change this. To make the bottom corners match, an app has to draw the curve on screen.
Top rounded, bottom square
You notice the difference most on a bright background or in a full-screen app: the top of the picture ends in a soft curve, the bottom in two hard corners.
Can you change it in macOS?
No. System Settings has no option for the shape of the screen corners.
How to round the bottom corners
Roundly is a small menu bar app that draws matching black corners over the bottom of your display. It reads your display’s corner radius and uses the same continuous curve, so top and bottom match. Clicks pass through the corners, and they are hidden from screenshots and recordings by default.
